Happy Valentine's Day! Portland Reflexology Is Now Starting Its 15th Year!

February 17, 2023

Happy Valentine's Day! Portland Reflexology is now starting its 15th year!

Here I am… Monday through Saturday with reflexology because I’ve seen what these sessions do for the hundreds of people who come every year.

This winter I was referring to Bill Flocco's "Reflexology" book regarding  psoriasis to help someone with those red itchy bumps. Over time, her bumps began to diminish and I thought, why aren’t I offering everyone who comes more hands-on information about how to ease or eliminate their pain? So Bill and I talked and this new format came to be.

I'm thrilled to be sharing this information with you. Bill Flocco has been my mentor and master teacher and taught me the importance of Integrative Reflexology - working with the feet, hands, and ears in each session. He has now given me permission to use the photos and copy from his book "Reflexology" in my newsletters.

How will this help you?
Using these pictures below you can empower yourself to use reflexology’s key points between our visits to increase your circulation and even reduce or eliminate pain.

When you come to me and mention pain in a certain area, I will show you how to work on your hands, feet, and ears which may help reduce pain and soothe your nerves. I always go over these points during your session, and now I want to share this information with you so you can help yourself. And maybe someone else.

Let’s look at neck pain.
90% of my clients say they carry tension in their necks and shoulders. Makes sense with all the keyboarding and talking we do on our phones.

Here's one technique that may ease your neck pain: First, while sitting, put your elbows on a table, and press the lower one-inch of the middle ridge in your ears for 10-20 minutes, or until the pain begins to dissipate. For some, they report the results are dramatic.

Next: work on the lower half of your big toe with your thumb by 'walking across' and pressing in the direction shown with the red arrows.

Finally, in this technique, work on the lower half of one thumb with the other thumb by 'walking across' and pressing in the direction shown with the red arrows.
